Return of rock4life
The Rock4life concert, at Thomas Dale High School, was a huge success! We had a blast performing on stage. An emotional slide show brought some tears, but during the encore our audience could be seen dancing in the aisles. In the end, we raised $5,000 to help relieve AIDS in Africa. This year, we are starting all over again to make the concert bigger and better than before. There is going to be a different cause, but we will be working together to bring awareness, and spread the word for Rock4Life ’09.

Just dropping in to share some inside information about the progress for the 2009 Rock 4 Life Concert! The arranging is becoming more and more a reality thanks to Dani Meeker and her posse.

Two students, Rebecca Disney and Dale Bowles, created a youtube video showing some of the faces of the AIDS afflicted people in Africa that the Rock4Life concert will be helping. The background music on the video is a student written song that is performed by the band Offering. Hopefully the video will reach out to the hearts of many people. Welcome to the Rock4Life concert blog! Last year, the orchestra students of Thomas Dale High School in Chester, VA, and Richmond-based band Offering put on a successful benefit concert for a 14 year-old Chesterfield county cancer patient. This year, all proceeds will benefit organizations that help kids affected by Aids in Africa. If last year’s concert was any indication, this year’s concert will be awesome!
